Interfacial Multiscale Physics and Transport (IMPACT) Lab

Dr. Abdul Aziz Shuvo is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He is the Principal Investigator (PI) of the Interfacial Multiscale Physics and Transport (IMPACT) Lab. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from BUET, Dhaka, in 2019 and 2022, respectively. He then pursued his graduate studies at The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, USA, where he obtained his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2025.

Dr. Shuvo’s research focuses on multiscale and multiphysics modeling of transport processes using atomistic and continuum simulations. His interests include interfacial thermal and momentum transport, turbulence and slip-flow modeling, and the development of physics-informed and machine-learning-assisted models for advanced thermal and fluid systems.
